Campus Dr. #101, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005 Who can join the Legion? All veterans are welcome. If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion. What is the difference between the VFW and the American Legion? While both the VFW and American Legion are organizations that serve veterans, they have different requirements for entry. The VFW is open only to veterans who served in combat, while the Legion is open to anyone who has served in the military. What kinds of resources are available? Post 111 has a Veterans Service Officer VSO to assist with PACT Act Claims, military disability ratings, and accessing other needed resources.
